Can I bring my boat?
Yes! We do offer boat dock rentals for our guests, but please note that dock spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure availability, we highly recommend you reserve a dock space in advance. The rate for dock space is $2 per foot per day of your boat’s length during your stay.
Do you have housekeeping services, Linens & Towels?
Linens and towels are provided, as well as dish soap and 1 roll of paper towels. We do not provide daily housekeeping during your stay, but fresh linens and towels are available upon request. If you need additional supplies, please don’t hesitate to contact the front desk.
Do I need to bring my own toiletries?
Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Soap and Hand Soap are all provided.
Do you allow events?
Yes, we do allow special events such as weddings or private gatherings. For more information or to inquire about booking an event, please email us at cottageplace@gmail.com.
Can I be picked up by boat from the dock?
While we don’t provide boat transportation, guests are welcome to arrange their own boat pick-up from the dock. Please be sure to let the front desk know if you need any assistance with this.
How does check-in work?
When you book your reservation, we will send you check-in information along with your custom door code through our ResNexus booking software. Check-in time is at 3:00 PM. We use battery-operated, remote/app-controlled Schlage door locks on all accommodations. You can easily access your accommodation through the app or remote control. If you have any trouble with access or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Can I request early check-in or late check-out?
Yes, we do offer early check-in and late check-out for an additional $25 per upgrade. These options must be arranged in advance and are subject to availability. Please contact us ahead of time to confirm your request.
What are your property and cancellation policies?
- A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
- The remaining balance is due on check-in.
- Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to cottageplace@gmail.com.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will result in forfeiture of the deposit. If you do not show up or leave early, the full cost will be charged.
- For reservations in June, July, August, holidays, or specialty weekends, deposits are non-refundable, unless we can rebook the rental for the same days.
- There is a $50 fee for changes or cancellations.
Do you charge any additional fees?
Yes, a one-time $30 Amenity Fee will be added to your stay. This covers the use of amenities such as our private beach, in-room amenities, Wi-Fi, parking, and access to equipment like life jackets, kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards, and fishing gear.
Are there any rules regarding smoking?
Yes, all rooms are smoke-free, and smoking is strictly prohibited inside rentals and on building porches. We provide designated smoking areas for your convenience. A $250 cleaning fee will be applied if smoking or candles are used indoors.
Can I bring my dog?
We do welcome well-behaved dogs! You may bring up to two dogs per cottage for a $40 per night cleaning fee. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times and should not be left unattended for extended periods. Please clean up after your pet, and disposal bags are available at the front desk. If you have an undisclosed pet, a $250 cleaning fee will apply.
Are fireworks allowed on the property?
For the safety of all guests and to protect our property and wildlife, fireworks are strictly prohibited on the property, including the beach area.
What if I need assistance during my stay?
An emergency landline is available at the front desk. For immediate emergencies, please dial 911. You can also contact local police at 603-536-1626 and the fire department at 603-968-4491.
Is the property accessible for people with disabilities?
While we strive to accommodate all guests, our property does have some natural terrain and may not be fully accessible for individuals with mobility impairments. Please feel free to contact us ahead of time to discuss your specific needs.
Do you allow indoor wood-burning fireplaces?
For safety reasons, wood-burning fireplaces are strictly prohibited indoors. A $500 fee will be charged if evidence of fireplace use is discovered. Our Insurance policy will not allow nor cover wood-burning interior fireplaces at this time.
How does your gift shop work?
Our Honor Camp Store is designed for your convenience and operates without the need for a crew member to be physically present. The store is open 24 hours, Monday-Sunday. You can access the shop using the instructions provided in your welcome email upon check-in. Inside the store, you'll find a self-checkout Square Kiosk for an easy, seamless shopping experience. Cameras are located inside the shop for security, and we trust you to shop independently and complete your purchases on your own.
What safety measures do you have in place?
- Life jackets are required for watercraft activities, and children under 12 must always be supervised when using the beach or lake area.
- Ice activities such as skating and fishing are at your own risk due to changing ice conditions.
- Security cameras are in use on the property (outdoors and inside the Honor Camp Store) to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests.
